Growing market for equipment rental
Helifuel is experiencing growing interest in the market for equipment rental. This applies both to fill nozzles and fuel tanks.
- For our customers it is advantageous to rent pressure filling nozzle. When the certificate is nearing expiration, we send new equipment to the customer, which means the customer has certified fill nozzles at all times. Kristine Almaas is the Helifuel person responsible for this part of the business.
- Fuelling nozzles must be tested by us once a year to remain certified. When we get nozzles from customers, the equipment is checked, inspected and tested and made ready for rental to other clients.
Customers, who have a temporary need for additional fuel tanks, can rent rather than buy. During peak activity customers do not need to buy equipment but may hire from Helifuel instead. We have a modern fleet of tanks in stock here in Sveio and at our office in Houston.
There is also a growing market for capsules that can detect water in fuel. Shell Water Detector Capsules are small, but vital tablets. The capsule will react if there is water present in the fuel indicated by a change in color.
These tablets are perishable with a limited shelf life. Our systems ensure that customers are provided with new tablets on time, so that the helicopter refueling systems have tablets at any time. We supply the tablets to customers with framework agreements, and is experiencing increased interest in our service, says Kristine Almaas.
