New orders for busy times
- New orders received means that Helifuel will have much to do. These are busy times for Helifuel, says Managing Director Jorunn Håvardsholm.
At the end of 2011 we had a nice surge in orders. This is not only as a result of Helifuel’s strengthened sales team, but also that there is a greater willingness to invest in companies and oil companies. 2011 is better than the previous year in terms of both turnover and operating profit.
We will supply two helicopter refueling systems to Diamond Offshore Drilling, Inc. The Houston-based company has two drillships under construction in Korea, where we will in 2012 provide our systems. Diamond Offshore has one of the world's largest fleets of drilling rigs and in the next two years plans to build three further drillships. For Helifuel it is important to develop a a close relationship with such a large player.
Currently Helifuel is building a helicopter refueling systems for Hess Denmark ApS. The equipment will be installed on a permanent installation in the Danish North Sea. This is an important delivery for us because it concerns a subsidiary of the U.S. group Hess Corporation, which operates oil and gas production worldwide.
At the beginning of a new year, I cannot divulge further, other than to say, it looks bright for Helifuel, says MD Jorunn Håvardsholm.
